If you are between 16 and 28 and care about the environment, this might be the opportunity that changes your life.
The beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship 2026 is now open, and it is one of the most generous global programs for young people working on climate and sustainability solutions. The fellowship will select 1,000 Fellows worldwide, offer professional training and mentorship, and provide project funding of up to €20,000.
No prior startup experience is required. What matters is your idea, your motivation, and your commitment to building a more sustainable future.
What is the beVisioneers Fellowship?
The beVisioneers Fellowship is a multi-year global program funded by Mercedes-Benz and implemented by The DO School Fellowships. It was launched in 2023 to empower young people to turn environmental ideas into real-world projects.
The fellowship starts with a 12-month intensive phase that requires a minimum commitment of 24 hours per month. During this time, Fellows receive hands-on innovation training, leadership development, and direct support to bring their environmental ideas to life.
After the first year, Fellows continue as part of a long-term global community focused on scaling impact.

Application Timeline
- Applications open: 17 September 2025
- Application deadline: 25 January 2026 (23:59 CET)
- Program starts: May 2026
Applications are reviewed as they are submitted, so applying early is recommended.
How the Application Works
The application takes around 30–40 minutes and has three parts.
1. Written Application
You will provide basic personal details, describe your environmental idea, outline your learning needs, complete a self-assessment, and upload a passport or national ID.
2. Recorded Video Interview
Applicants must record a 3-minute video interview directly on the platform. You will explain the environmental challenge you care about and your proposed solution. Applications without a video are not considered.
3. Financial Support Application (Optional)
Applicants who need financial assistance can apply for monthly support. This includes living cost support and additional funds for internet access, electricity, or technical equipment.
Financial Support for Eligible Fellows
The fellowship offers financial support to economically disadvantaged participants, based on World Bank income benchmarks.
Support may include:
- Monthly living cost allowance
- Local transportation support
- Internet and equipment funding
- Country-adjusted payments based on purchasing power
This ensures that financial barriers do not prevent talented young people from participating.
Why This Fellowship Stands Out
Unlike many climate programs, beVisioneers focuses on action rather than just ideas. Fellows are expected to build, test, and grow real solutions while receiving structured support from mentors and industry experts.
It is one of the few global fellowships that combines:
- Climate innovation
- Leadership development
- Financial backing
- Long-term community support
Climate change needs bold, practical solutions, and young people are already leading the way. The beVisioneers Fellowship offers the tools, funding, and global network to turn passion into impact.
If you have an environmental idea and the drive to act, this is an opportunity worth taking seriously.
Applications are open. The deadline is 25 January 2026.
