The beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship 2027 is now open for young people from eligible countries who are working on environmental ideas and solutions. The fellowship is funded by Mercedes-Benz and implemented by The DO School Fellowships. It provides young innovators with training, mentorship, venture coaching, networking opportunities, and financial support to help turn environmental ideas into practical projects.
The international fellowship opportunity is open to applicants aged 18 to 28 who have identified an environmental problem they want to address. No previous startup or entrepreneurship experience is required. During the 12-month Foundation Year, Fellows will participate in online innovation training, local hub activities, mentoring, venture coaching, and expert and peer support while developing and testing their environmental projects.
The fellowship can continue into a second-year Acceleration phase for eligible Fellows, where participants work on scaling their projects into sustainable impact initiatives. Fellows can access project scholarships, including opportunities of up to €15,000, as well as cost-of-living support for eligible participants. The beVisioneers Fellowship 2027 has an application deadline of 31 January 2027, with the Foundation Year scheduled to begin in June 2027.

The beVisioneers Fellowship is a multi-year global program funded by Mercedes-Benz and implemented by The DO School Fellowships. It was launched in 2023 to equip young people with the tools, knowledge, networks, and resources needed to develop environmental projects.
The fellowship is built around a two-year journey. It begins with a 12-month Foundation Year, requiring a minimum commitment of 24 hours per month. During this phase, Fellows receive innovation and entrepreneurship training, mentoring, venture coaching, expert support, and opportunities to develop and test their environmental projects.
After the first year, eligible Fellows can continue into the Acceleration Year, where they work on scaling their projects into sustainable impact ventures and gain access to additional coaching, scaling mentors, workshops, project scholarships, and financial support.

Financial Support for Eligible Fellows

Who Can Apply?
You are eligible if you:
- Are 18 to 28 years old at the time of applying
- Reside in one of the countries or territories eligible for the 2027 fellowship
- Have a good command of English
- Have identified an environmental problem you want to solve
- Have an existing project or a strong idea for a planet-positive project
- Are committed to positive environmental change and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit
- Do not work for Mercedes-Benz, and do not have a parent or guardian who works there
The 2027 fellowship is accepting applications from residents of European Union countries, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, the United States, and Zimbabwe. Applicants must live in an eligible country for the duration of the fellowship and implement their project there.
You do not need previous entrepreneurial experience or formal technical training to apply. The program is focused on early-stage eco-innovation, including projects at the idea or prototype stage.

How the Application Works
The application takes around 30–45 minutes and includes written and video components. Applicants can also request financial support during the application process if needed.
1. Written Application
You will provide personal information, describe your environmental project or idea, explain the problem you want to address, and provide information about your motivation and experience.
The application is designed to understand your project, your commitment to the environmental challenge, and what you hope to develop through the fellowship.
2. Recorded Video Interview
Applicants must submit a short video as part of the application. You will have the opportunity to explain your environmental challenge, your solution, and your motivation for joining the fellowship.
English proficiency is assessed through the written application and interview video.
3. Financial Support Application
Applicants who need financial assistance can request support during the application process. Financial assistance is intended to help economically disadvantaged Fellows participate in the program.
Support can include assistance related to living costs, internet access, technology, and other needs assessed by the program.
