The University of Kent Chevening Scholarship 2027/28 is a fully funded opportunity for international students who want to study a one-year master’s degree in the UK. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, travel costs to and from the UK, the UK visa application fee and a travel grant for Chevening events.

The scholarship is part of the UK government’s Chevening Scholarships programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the University of Kent Chevening Scholarship, applicants must meet the Chevening eligibility requirements and the entry requirements of their chosen master’s course.

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
• Commit to returning to their country of citizenship for at least two years after the scholarship ends.
• Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for entry to a one-year postgraduate programme at Kent.
• Have at least two years of work experience acquired after completing their undergraduate degree.
• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses.
• Receive an unconditional offer from at least one of these choices by 8 July 2027.

How to Apply for University of Kent Chevening Scholarship

Applicants must apply through the official Chevening online application system. The University of Kent does not have a separate scholarship application for the standard Chevening award.

Follow these steps:

1. Check your eligibility: Confirm that your country or territory is eligible for the 2027/28 Chevening Scholarship.
2. Research master’s courses: Find eligible one-year taught master’s programmes in the UK and check the University of Kent entry requirements.
3. Choose three courses: Select three eligible UK university courses for your Chevening application.
4. Create a Chevening application: Go to the official Chevening application system through the country or territory page.
5. Complete the application form: Provide your education, work experience, course choices and other required information.
6. Prepare your references: Enter the details of two referees. If shortlisted, you will need to provide reference letters in English.
7. Submit the application before the deadline: Applications must be submitted by 6 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC.
8. Apply to the University of Kent: Complete the university admission process for your selected Kent master’s course.
9. Select Kent as your first preference: The University of Kent encourages applicants who want to be considered for an award at Kent to select Kent as their first preference in the Chevening application.
10. Secure an unconditional offer: If successful in the Chevening selection process, submit an unconditional offer from a UK university by 8 July 2027.
