The Beijing Government Scholarship 2027 for International Students at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is now open for applications. The Beijing Municipal Government funds this scholarship in China to support outstanding international students who want to study at BFSU. It helps reduce the financial burden of studying in China by covering tuition fees and, depending on the scholarship category, may also provide accommodation, a monthly living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance.
Many international students ask whether they are eligible to apply for the Beijing Government Scholarship at BFSU. The answer is yes. International applicants who meet the university’s admission requirements and satisfy the scholarship eligibility criteria can apply for undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, foundation, and eligible non-degree programmes. Applicants must first apply for admission to Beijing Foreign Studies University before their scholarship application can be considered.
Unlike the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), the Beijing Government Scholarship is offered by the Beijing Municipal Government and administered by participating universities. At BFSU, the scholarship is available in three categories, each with varying levels of financial support. Applications for the autumn intake are accepted until 5 June, while the spring intake application deadline is 30 November.
