Beijing Government Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship is offered in three categories depending on the applicant’s assessment.
Category A
Successful applicants receive:

Living Allowance
Students receiving Category A support are eligible for the following monthly stipend:
- Undergraduate students: RMB 2,500
- Master’s students: RMB 3,000
- Doctoral students: RMB 3,500
Off-campus Accommodation Support
If eligible students live off campus, they may receive:
- Undergraduate and Master’s students: RMB 700 per month
- Doctoral students: RMB 1,000 per month
Medical Insurance
The scholarship includes comprehensive medical insurance valued at RMB 800 per student.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Beijing Government Scholarship at BFSU, applicants must:
- Be a non-Chinese citizen.
- Be in good physical and mental health.
- Meet the admission requirements of Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Language Requirements
For Chinese-taught programmes:
- Foundation and visiting programmes: HSK Level 3
- Degree programmes: HSK Level 4
Applicants for foreign language-taught programmes must satisfy the language requirements specified by their chosen faculty or programme.
Academic Requirements
Applicants should normally have:
- Minimum average score of 80/100, or
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Current students applying for continued support must also maintain an average score of at least 80 during the previous academic year.
