Eligibility Requirements for the Australia Awards Fellowships
- Fellows must be citizens of and reside in eligible developing countries
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Not an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Have relevant work experience related to the fellowship
- Must meet English proficiency requirements
- Able to travel without dependents

Application Compliance Criteria
To be considered, the application must meet all the following:
- All required information must be provided in the correct format.
- Submitted by a legal Australian entity (with ABN), not by an individual or OCO.
- The Australian organisation must not have submitted more than six applications for that round.
- The fellowship duration must be between 2 weeks and 52 weeks in total (including in-Australia, online, and partner country activities).
- The proposed in-Australia portion must be longer than the in-partner-country portion.
- The OCO must be from an eligible country listed for Official Development Assistance (ODA).

How to Apply for the Australia Awards Fellowships
- Only Australian organisations can apply on behalf of fellows.
- The Australian organisation partners with an Overseas Counterpart Organisation (OCO).
- Applications are submitted through DFAT’s online portal during the open round.
