Scholarship benefits

The Excellence Scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for the full 24-month duration of the master’s programme.

WUR states that students who receive the tuition fee waiver will still have other first-year costs, including living expenses, health and liability insurance and the residence permit fee. Based on the current fee structure, WUR estimates that the revised first-year invoice will be around €16,500. This amount must be paid before 1 July 2027.

The WU Scholarship Selection Committee reviews eligible MSc applications. Around March or April 2027, selected applicants will be informed by email that they have reached the final stage.

On 7 April 2027, the scholarship will be offered to selected students. WUR states that a lottery will be used to determine the scholarship recipients among the candidates selected for the final stage. Remaining candidates will be placed on a waiting list.
