What is the European Futures Scholarship?
The European Futures Scholarships programme supports students enrolling in Master’s degree programmes at the University of Milan for the 2026/27 academic year.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a university in an EU country other than Italy, or complete it by 31 July 2026
- Live in an EU country outside Italy
- Apply for admission to a Master’s programme at the University of Milan
Students from non-EU countries can apply only if they are officially residents in an EU country and can provide proof of residence.
How Candidates Will Be Selected
Applications will be evaluated out of 100 points.
Academic Merit and CV (80 Points)
The university will assess:
- Academic transcript and GPA
- Language certificates
- Participation in research, innovation, or volunteer projects
- Awards and scholarships
- Work experience
Motivation Letter (20 Points)
Applicants must explain:
- Their academic goals
- How they can contribute to the European Education Area
- Why they want to become a UniMi student ambassador
Only students admitted to a Master’s programme at the university will be considered for final selection.

- Bachelor’s degree certificate

- Proof of projects, awards, or work experience

- Residence certificate for eligible non-EU residents

Scholarship Payment Details
The €10,000 grant will be paid in two parts:
- First instalment after enrollment and document verification
- Second instalment after completing at least 30% of first-year credits by 10 August 2027
Students who fail to meet enrollment or academic requirements may lose the scholarship and accommodation benefits.
Scholarship Renewal for Second Year
The scholarship can be renewed for the second year if students complete at least 90% of first-year credits by 30 September 2027.
Students who meet this condition will continue receiving tuition exemption and free accommodation.
