The SECAI Scholarship 2026 in Germany is now open for Master’s and advanced Diplom students who want to study at TU Dresden or Leipzig University. The scholarship supports talented students by providing financial assistance to help cover living expenses during their studies in Germany.

The scholarship is offered by the School of Embedded Composite Artificial Intelligence (SECAI), a joint initiative of TU Dresden and Leipzig University. The program supports students whose academic background and research interests are connected to Artificial Intelligence. Students from Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Psychology, Law, Medical Informatics, and similar fields can apply.

Selected applicants will receive a monthly stipend of EUR 934. The scholarship also promotes diversity and internationalization in AI education. Women in STEM subjects and students facing personal challenges or difficult circumstances are especially encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria of the SECAI Scholarship 2026

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must apply for or already be studying at TU Dresden or Leipzig University
Open to Master’s students and advanced Diploma students
The study program or research must be related to Artificial Intelligence
Students from AI-related disciplines can apply
Applicants should have excellent academic performance
A GPA equivalent to German grade 1.7 or better is preferred
International students are eligible to apply
Applicants should not receive another scholarship at the same time
Students may apply for the scholarship and university admission separately

Financial Support Details

The scholarship includes:

Monthly stipend of EUR 934 for Master’s students
EUR 31 daily allowance for incomplete months
EUR 42 daily funding for short-term international visits up to 22 days

Family Allowance for International Students

Eligible international students staying longer than six months may also receive:

EUR 276 for an accompanying spouse
EUR 219 for the first and second child
EUR 225 for the third child
EUR 250 for each additional child

The scholarship does not cover health insurance or university study fees.
