The European Parliament has opened applications for the Schuman Traineeships 2026, a paid internship program for graduates and vocational education holders who want to gain experience inside one of the main institutions of the European Union.

What is the Schuman Traineeship?
The Schuman Traineeship is the official traineeship program of the European Parliament. It is designed for graduates and vocational education holders who want practical experience in European policymaking and institutional work.
The traineeship is named after Robert Schuman, one of the founders of European integration.

Duration of the Internship

Eligibility Criteria for Schuman Traineeships 2026
To apply for the traineeship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Candidates should hold a university degree or an eligible vocational qualification
- Applicants must have strong knowledge of at least one official EU language
- A second language is required for most applicants
- Non-EU nationals usually need good knowledge of English, French, or German
