Program Structure of the Global Minds Scholarship

Benefits of the Erasmus Mundus Global Minds Scholarship
- Tuition/Participation Fees: Fully Covered (€18,000 for Partner Country students, €9,000 for Program Country students).
- Monthly Stipend: €1,300 per month for the entire 24-month duration of the program.
- Travel & Installation: A lump sum payment of €2,400 is provided shortly before the start of the first semester.
- Insurance: Comprehensive health and travel insurance coverage.
Note: The program covers participation fee of EU students upto €9,000 and upto €18,000 of non-EU students. The program also offers Partial Scholarships (typically 15 seats) which cover the participation costs (tuition fees) only.

Eligibility Requirements of the Global Minds Scholarship
Applicants must fulfill the following main criteria:
- Academic Degree: Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent, such as a UK 2:1 or an Irish 2.2 Honours Degree) in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Academic Credit: Must have a minimum of 100 ECTS or equivalent experience in Psychology and Research Methods for the social sciences.
- English Proficiency: Must demonstrate English language competency at a B2 level or higher.
- Prior Education: Students who have not completed their first cycle degree at the time of application can still apply by submitting proof of enrollment; however, any offer of admission will be conditional upon receiving the degree before enrollment.

How to Apply for the Erasmus Mundus Global Minds Scholarship
Here are the steps to apply for Global-MINDS:
- Check eligibility: Before applying, ensure you meet the academic, psychology/research methods credit, English language, and degree status requirements.
- Prepare documents: Gather transcripts, degree certificate, proof of enrolment (if needed), proof of English proficiency, identity document (passport/birth certificate), CV, personal statement, etc. Make translations if needed.
- Fill the online application form (Phase 1):
- The application opens on 1 October 2025 and closes on 9 January 2026.
- In the first form, you’ll be asked to: convert your qualifications (if applicable) into the Irish equivalent; provide your CV & work/research/volunteer experience; write your personal statement (motivation, path preferences, scholarship vs self-funded).
- Shortlist & additional documents (Phase 2):
- After initial evaluation, shortlisted applicants will get a link from the University of Limerick to submit the required documents (transcripts, certificates, English proficiency, etc.).
- Upload identity documents. Ensure all PDFs are correctly named.
- Document verification & interview:
- Documents are verified. If everything is in order, shortlisted candidates are invited to interview.
- Interviews typically happen in early March.
- Selection & Admission Offer:
- After the interview & ranking, offers are sent by email (by around 23 March 2026) to successful candidates.
- If you are accepted as a scholarship recipient or a self-funded student, accordingly.
- Visa & Enrollment: Once you have the offer, you’ll use acceptance documents for visa, residence permits, etc. Enroll at the partner university for your first semester.
