Duration & Timing

  • In exceptional cases, a longer duration (even a whole semester) may be possible if recognized by the home university and agreed upon by the host professor.

What Happens During the EPFL Summer Internship

  • You’ll be working in a research laboratory at EPFL as a member of the research group.
  • There are a series of workshops, group meetings, plus an E3 workshop where interns present their results.
  • There are also social events to facilitate interaction among the internship cohort. 

Eligibility Requirements of the EPFL Summer Internship

To apply, you must:

  • Nigerian citizen
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in engineering, computer science, physics, or related fields.
  • Have completed at least two years of your Bachelor’s degree before the internship starts.
  • Maintain an excellent academic record (top 10–15% of class).
  • Have strong motivation for research; an interest in pursuing a PhD later is a plus.
  • Be fluent in English (no formal test required, but good proficiency expected).
  • Not be enrolled in a PhD program at the time of application.
