Scholarship Benefits
The DAAD EPOS scholarship provides financial support according to the standard EPOS funding conditions.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the DAAD EPOS MSc International Health Scholarship must meet several academic and professional requirements:
- Be from an eligible low- or middle-income country.
- Hold a four-year academic degree equivalent to 240 ECTS.
- Have academic results in the upper third or above average.
- Have at least two years of relevant professional experience after the bachelor’s degree at the time of application.
- Have a most recent academic degree that is less than six years old.
- Meet the required English language standard.
Charité requires DAAD EPOS applicants to provide proof of English proficiency, such as IELTS with a minimum band score of 6.0 or TOEFL with at least 550 paper-based or 80 internet-based. Certain applicants from specified countries may instead submit confirmation that their entire previous degree was taught in English.
MSc International Health Study Structure
The MSc International Health is normally a two-year, full-time, on-site programme worth 90 ECTS. Students with sufficient relevant professional experience can complete the degree through the one-year fast-track option, which is required for DAAD EPOS scholarship recipients.
For EPOS scholars, the programme begins with a German language course in July, followed by the core course in Berlin from September to December. Advanced modules are completed from January to April. Students can complete some advanced modules at partner universities in Heidelberg or Bergen. The final four months, from May to August, are spent in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where students complete their master’s thesis at the National Institute of Public Health.
