The Czech Republic Government Scholarships 2027/28 are expected to open for international students from selected developing countries. For English-language studies, the scholarship covered:

  • Selected three- to four-year Doctoral programmes

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy both the government scholarship requirements and the admission requirements of the selected Czech university.

Generally, applicants must:

  • Be citizens of an eligible country
  • Meet the required academic qualification
  • Apply for an eligible study programme
  • Meet the admission requirements of the selected university
  • Complete the required online application
  • Complete the English language test when applying for an English-taught scholarship
  • Follow the document and application requirements stated in the official call
  • For Bachelor’s study, applicants need secondary education equivalent to Czech secondary education with a school-leaving examination.
  • For follow-up Master’s study, applicants need a completed Bachelor’s degree.
  • For Doctoral study, applicants need a completed Master’s degree.

Citizens of the Czech Republic, EU citizens, and foreign nationals with permanent residence in Czechia are not eligible for these development scholarships.
