For millions of students around the world, armed conflict does not just destroy homes and cities. It interrupts education, closes universities, and forces young people to put their futures on hold. Talented students are often left with the ability to study, but without safety, resources, or opportunity.

The UCL Humanitarian Scholarship exists for exactly these students.

Offered by University College London (UCL), one of the most respected universities in the world, this scholarship is designed to support individuals whose lives and education have been directly affected by war, displacement, or humanitarian crises. It allows them to restart their academic journey through a fully funded Master’s degree in the UK, without the financial burden that normally makes international study impossible.

This is not a symbolic award. It is practical, comprehensive, and focused on real survival needs. From tuition fees to living costs, visas, and travel, the scholarship is structured to remove barriers so students can focus on learning and rebuilding their lives.

What the UCL Humanitarian Scholarship Covers

This scholarship provides full financial support for the entire duration of a Master’s degree. It includes:

  • Full tuition fees for a full-time Master’s program at UCL
  • A £20,000 annual maintenance allowance to cover living and accommodation costs
  • UK visa fees and Immigration Health Surcharge
  • One return flight to the UK
  • Guaranteed single-room accommodation at UCL, if chosen

This makes it one of the most complete humanitarian scholarships offered by a UK university.
