What is the OHCHR Minorities Fellowship Programme?
Launched in 2005, the MFP is the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights’ flagship training program for national, ethnic, linguistic, and religious minority defenders. Who Can Apply?

- Have relevant experience in human rights or minority advocacy. Formal education is not required.
- Be able and willing to train others upon returning to their community.
- Have good working knowledge of the programme language: English, Russian, or Arabic.
- Be nominated by a minority organization or community actively working on minority rights issues.

An OHCHR advisory group carefully reviews applications to ensure gender and regional balance. Selection also considers:
