Applications for the 2026 Erasmus Mundus CyberMACS Scholarship are now open for all international students. The programme is a 2-year full-time Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Cybersecurity, worth 120 ECTS.

It is delivered as a joint/double degree under the Erasmus Mundus scheme by a consortium of higher-education institutions in Europe.

The language of instruction is English. The first year focuses on core cybersecurity fundamentals; the second year allows specialisation and mobility across partner universities.

Partner Universities in the Erasmus CyberMACS Scholarship

The consortium consists of three main partner institutions:

  • Kadir Has University (KHAS), Istanbul, Turkey
  • SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Germany)
  • Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (Skopje, North Macedonia)

Students spend the first year at KHAS (Turkey), then the second year at either SRH Berlin (Germany) or UKIM (Skopje, North Macedonia), depending on the specialisation track chosen.

Programme Structure & Specialisation Tracks

Here’s how the academic pathway is set up:

  • Year 1 (60 ECTS): At KHAS Istanbul, covering cybersecurity fundamentals, winter & summer schools, and 2-month compulsory practical training. 
  • Year 2: Choose one of the partner universities & specialisations:
    • In Berlin (SRH):
      • Advanced Technologies in Cybersecurity (30 ECTS) 
      • Cyber Security Management (30 ECTS) 
      • Or Long-Term Practical Training (30 ECTS) 
    • In Skopje (UKIM):
      • Web & Cybersecurity (30 ECTS) 
      • Cryptology (30 ECTS) 
  • Then the master’s thesis (30 ECTS) completes the programme.

Eligibility Requirements of the Erasmus Mundus CyberMACS Master’s Scholarship

Key eligibility criteria include:

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an officially recognized higher education institution.
  • The Bachelor’s degree should typically be equivalent to 180 ECTS or at least 3–4 years full-time, and should provide eligibility for Master’s studies in the country of the awarding institution.
