The University of Alabama Presidential Scholarship provides:

University of Alabama Presidential Scholarship Requirements

To qualify for the 2027 Presidential Scholarship, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum 3.50 GPA
  • Have an ACT score of 32–36 or an SAT score of 1420–1600
  • Apply for undergraduate admission to the University of Alabama
  • Submit the required official test score for automatic scholarship consideration

The University of Alabama uses official ACT composite scores or official SAT total scores for automatic merit scholarships. Superscores are not used for automatic scholarship purposes.

For 2027 applicants, UA’s admission testing policy states that students with a cumulative high school GPA below 3.0 must submit an ACT or SAT score for admission. However, standardized test scores are required for automatic scholarship consideration.

International students completing high school outside the United States generally need to provide:

  • Completed undergraduate admission application
  • Official high school transcripts
  • International transcript evaluation from a NACES member agency, including a course-by-course evaluation and GPA calculation
  • Official ACT or SAT score for automatic scholarship consideration
