Eligibility Criteria

Required Documents

Applicants for the Harvard Lewis Fellowship must submit:

  • A comprehensive résumé or curriculum vitae
  • A research and writing project description of no more than four pages
  • A statement of interest in law teaching and legal scholarship of no more than four pages
  • Copies of all transcripts
  • Two letters of reference

The research project description should explain the project the applicant plans to undertake during the fellowship with a view toward publication. The statement on law teaching should discuss the applicant’s interest in legal scholarship and identify the fields in which they expect to teach and conduct research.
