About the PhD Research Project

The doctoral scholarship is part of the ACHIEVE project titled “Pathways to a Net-Zero Target for Hard-to-Abate Swiss Emissions.” The project includes 29 member institutions and 27 collaboration partners working with policymakers, researchers, industry experts, and civil society organizations to support Switzerland’s net-zero transition.

The Agricultural Economics and Policy Group at ETH Zurich is leading a work package focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Swiss agri-food systems. The PhD researcher will study the economic and behavioral aspects of climate change mitigation in agriculture.

Research activities include:

  • Conducting farmer surveys and choice experiments
  • Analyzing agricultural and policy datasets
  • Studying climate policy instruments
  • Investigating farmer decision-making and management behavior
  • Working with agricultural stakeholders and policymakers

Eligibility Criteria
