Eligibility Criteria of CERN Research Fellowship

Applicants must:

  • Be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member States (limited positions open for non-Member States via a special programme)
  • Hold a PhD in theoretical physics (or have a defense scheduled before the start date)
  • Have less than 6 years of research experience after completion of PhD
  • Not a CERN staff member
